The Funds of the BiH Air Navigation Services Agency have finally been unblocked

The funds of the Bosnia and Herzegovina air navigation services agency (BHANSA) have finally been unblocked. The agency announced that it was officially informed of this by Eurocontrol through an official letter.

It should be recalled that BHANSA had been used as collateral in a dispute between the Republika Srpska (RS) entity and the Slovenian company Viaduct, amounting to over 110 million BAM.

Eurocontrol blocked BHANSA’s funds even though the agency was not a party to the dispute, which created serious risks for the functioning of air traffic control in our country.

Furthermore, it should be mentioned that the crisis was resolved by High Representative Christian Schmidt, who decided that the debt would be settled from excise reserves intended for the RS. The funds were deposited at the beginning of August.
