The Golden Lily Day marked in Vogosca

13162133_1766343876935622_1604655040_nOn the occasion of the 9th of May 9, the Golden Lily Day, Members of the Association “The winners of the biggest war awards” from Vogosca, representatives of the Municipality of Vogosca and numerous delegations paid tribute to all the citizens who gave their lives in defense of Vogosca and BiH.

They laid flowers at the central memorial to martyrs and the fallen soldiers, civilian victims of war and killed detainees, and paid their tribute with a minute of silence and by reciting Fatiha.

On the meeting with the Mayor Edin Smajic and the Chairman of the Municipal Council Esad Piknjac, members of the Association were gifted with presents in money.

Memories of the fateful battle for existence and statehood of BiH during the war were evoked.

In the records of the Association “Winners of the biggest war awards” is 12 living winners of the “Golden Lily” award, 18 killed and one died, 6 living winners of the “Golden Police Badge,” 4 killed and 4 winners of “Silver Shield” award.
