Miso from Herzegovina and Ia from Georgia met in Germany, got married in Georgia, and came to live in Mostar in BiH.

They do not want to leave BiH, because that would mean a new start with new people, habits and life.

“My first impression is that it is very nice here, very pleasant and relaxing. I feel great here and I am happy to be with my husband,” said Ia.

“We both lived in Germany. We felt the life in Germany and we fell in love with that country. Of course that we would like to live in Germany, but when we realize everything, it is much better and easier for us to live here in Mostar for now,” said Miso.

They said that they are aware of the difficult situation in BiH, but that everyone can succeed with little effort.

“Everyone who wants to work can find a job in Mostar and entire BiH, but also everywhere in the world. Maybe you cannot do what you like and want, but there are jobs. In Mostar and in the entire BiH,” said Miso.

They are both teaching the German language, Miso works in public, and Ia in a private school.

Ia said that it is much harder to live in Georgia, because people there have to work 2 to 3 jobs to survive.

“As I’ve said before, it is very good here for the beginning. I found a job and I feel good. I cannot say that it is not good here,” said Georgian Ia, who is expecting a baby with Miso.
