The Government of the RS declared a Day of Mourning on the Occasion of the Events in Kosovo

The government of the entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, made a decision today in a telephone session to declare September 27, 2023 as the Day of Mourning in the RS.

As announced after the session, the Day of Mourning was declared “because of the tragic events in Kosovo and Metohija”.

“Flags at institutions will be lowered to half-mast, and television and radio content, as well as all sports and entertainment events planned for that day, will be adapted to the Day of Mourning,” the announcement states.

Earlier today, the Government of Serbia, at an extraordinary session, declared September 27 as the Day of Mourning in connection with the tragic events in Kosovo.

On the occasion of the murder of policeman Afrim Bunjaku near Banjska, in the north of Kosovo, yesterday was a day of mourning in this country.

Around three hours after midnight on September 24, in Banjska in Zvečani, Afrim Bunjaka was killed in attacks on Kosovo police units, while police officer Alban Rashiti was wounded. In the action of the Kosovo police, four attackers were killed, while six were deprived of their liberty.
