The head of Iranian diplomacy, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, spoke about Iran’s attack on Israel, saying that Iran will not hesitate to defend its interests at any cost, that is, if Israel retaliates with attacks.

Iran’s foreign minister says the Islamic Republic does not intend to continue its “defensive operations” but will protect itself “against any new aggression.”

“Exercising the right to legitimate defense demonstrates Iran’s responsible approach to regional and international peace and security,” writes Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on X.

“At this moment, the Islamic Republic of Iran has no intention of continuing defensive operations, but if necessary, it will not hesitate to protect its legitimate interests from any new aggression,” he wrote, hours after Iran launched a major wave of around 300 strikes drones and rockets in its first direct attack on Israel.

Before him, the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi spoke out and also supported the actions of the Iranian Guard, emphasizing that a lesson was given to the Zionist regime.
