The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has confirmed that it has received information that the indictment against 14 persons in the case code-named “Staza”, with evidence from the “Sky” applications, in connection with organized crime and illegal drug trafficking, has been fully confirmed.

It is about the case “Dragan Pejovic et al“, in which these persons are charged in the indictment, among other things, with organized crime and unauthorized traffic of hundreds of kilograms of skunk, mainly from Montenegro and Serbia, on the territory of BiH and further smuggling to the European Union (EU) countries, announced the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

On June 15th, the BiH Prosecutor’s Office announced that the accused in the “Staza” case mainly operated in the area of Trebinje, Foca, Istocno Sarajevo, and Gradiska, and were connected to members of organized criminal groups that operate in neighboring countries and threaten security in the region.

In this case, data obtained from “Sky” applications, through international legal aid, were used, and the accused are Dragan Pejovic /38/, previously convicted, Milijan Mijovic /38/, Andjelko Milosevic /47/, Aleksa Malis, /25/, Miso Miljanic /37/, previously convicted, Milos Kovacevic /24/, Dusan Micanovic/31/ previously convicted, and Nemanja Prnjat /32/.

These people were also accused: Milan Micanovic /39/, previously convicted, Goran Novcic /53/, Vladan Kovacevic/34/, a police officer by profession, employed in the BiH Border Police, Bojan Calasan /37/, previously convicted, Milan Rasevic/27/, previously convicted, and Drazen Salamadija /27/.

The first suspect in this case, Dragan Pejovic, was recently extradited from Serbia to the judiciary of BiH, and a proposal was made to extend custody after the confirmation of the indictment, and for the accused Vladan Kovacevic, a police officer of the Border Police of BiH, a measure of prohibition from performing official duties was requested.

The Prosecution will prove the allegations of the indictment by calling a large number of witnesses and expert witnesses, as well as by submitting around 200 pieces of evidence.
