The Department for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, in accordance with the announcements of the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute, sent a warning to the city and municipal headquarters for emergency situations to urgently take operational and preventive measures and appealed to the citizens to be careful.

The Mačvan and Kolubar districts were urgently notified to forward the warning to the city and municipal headquarters, as well as to have the firefighters-rescuers conduct a tour of the population with emphasis on potentially critical points.

Belgrade, Sremska Mitrovica, and Kragujevac were also informed and warned, while all human and material and technical resources were made available, in order to save human lives and material goods.

The Ministry of Interior appealed to citizens to be careful and to follow the announcements and instructions of the Republic Institute and other competent authorities.

According to the announcements of the Hydrometeorological Institute, tonight, tonight and tomorrow the territory of Serbia is expected to experience thunderstorms with hail, stormy winds and a large amount of precipitation in a very short time.
