Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said that Tel Aviv will not cease fire in the Gaza Strip despite the resolution of the United Nations Security Council.

“The State of Israel will not cease fire. We will destroy Hamas and we will continue to fight until all the hostages return home,” Katz said in a statement on the X social network.

The UN Security Council adopted a resolution today demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during Ramadan. It demands the immediate and unconditional release of all prisoners, as well as the provision of humanitarian access.

For the adoption of the resolution, 14 members voted, and the United States of America abstained.

Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, said that the UN resolution “undermines efforts to secure the release” of the Israeli hostages from Gaza, AA writes.
