The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that it launched drones on Eilat as a show of support for the Lebanese and Palestinian people. In the attack, according to the Israeli media, the port was hit and two people were slightly injured.

According to Israeli media reports, one of the drones was intercepted by air defense from an Israeli Navy Sa’ar 5 class corvette. The other drone passed and hit the port.

The videos posted on social networks show the damage caused by the attack and that there was a fire.

“As we continue our journey in resistance to the occupation, in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including children, women and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance Movement in Iraq today, Wednesday 25.September 2024, attacked a vital target in the occupied Um Al-Rashrash “Eilat” using drones. The Islamic Resistance confirms the continuation of operations to attack enemy strongholds with increasing intensity,” the statement of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq states.

An Israeli military spokesman said Israeli authorities are monitoring threats coming from Iraq and gathering information, threatening that Israel will do what is necessary, Klix.ba writes.
