The Mayor of the Municipality of Vlasenica, Miroslav Kraljevic, sent a letter to the Majlis of the Islamic Community of Vlasenica, in which he requests that the volume level of the Islamic call to prayer be reduced. The reason for this is the dissatisfaction of the population in that town.

This letter was published by Istraga.ba on its official Twitter account.

“The municipality of Vlasenica has been approached by a large number of citizens who express dissatisfaction with the high volume of the Islamic call to prayer. We hereby appeal to reduce the volume of the Islamic call to prayer, bearing in mind the dissatisfaction of the citizens of the municipality of Vlasenica. In the hope of further successful cooperation, we hope that you will take into account this appeal of the citizens and the municipal administration and correct the sound volume,” reads the letter sent by Kraljevic.

The letter was signed by the mayor Miroslav Kraljevic, as well as the head of the department Nevena Stupar.

On this occasion, an inquiry was sent to the mayor of the Municipality of Vlasenica regarding the request sent to the Majlis of the Islamic Community. If he answers, his answer will be published.
