The President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said tonight at the rally, held in Banja Luka’s Trg Krajine, that the theme of the gathering “Serbia is calling you” is a response to the launched resolution on Srebrenica.

“This is the moment to express my special respect for the victims and I am sorry for what happened in Srebrenica,” said Dodik, again denying the genocide.

He said that “Serbs will not be in a country where they declare themselves a genocidal nation”, and that “people here are worried because they want to put that label on them”.

He emphasized that the RS will not go to war nor does it want to enter into any conflicts.

“If the resolution is adopted, we will spend the whole day in Srebrenica to show that it is the Republika Srpska,” said Dodik.

From the stage, he told the gathered citizens that “the Republika Srpska will one day be part of Serbia” and that “we will leave Bosnia and Herzegovina when the conditions for that are created.”

The President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, also spoke at the meeting, who said that “it is important that Serbs stick together, no matter how difficult the situation is.”

“Serbia has always been and will be in favor of respecting the Dayton Peace Agreement,” Brnabić pointed out, adding that “Serbia is the guarantor of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

If you look at the past, as she said, Serbia is the only one that expressed regret for the suffering of its people in the war, stating that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, was in Srebrenica “where they stoned him.”

Brnabić claims that the initiated resolution on Srebrenica will not have the necessary support in the UN, referring to information from the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

Leaders of the ruling coalition and member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović and founder of the political party Zavetnici from Serbia Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski addressed the crowd.

Their main message is that they cannot accept the resolution “by which the Serbs want to declare themselves a genocidal nation”.
