Vlado Đajić was questioned by the RS Ministry of Interior after a recording was released that allegedly showed a bag of cocaine and in which the former director of the (University Clinical Centre of Republika Srpska) RS UKC talks about buying cocaine. The prosecutor’s office forwarded the (Ministry of Interior) MUP report to the prosecutor in charge.

PDP President Draško Stanivuković filed a criminal complaint, and Đajić, after being dismissed, appeared at an SNSD campaign rally. He was greeted with applause, and SNSD presidential candidate Siniša Karan and Justice Minister Goran Selak took photos with him.

Convictions in the morning, distancing and dismissals. Celebrations in the afternoon with music and applause and photos of high-ranking officials with the suspect Đajić. In the morning, an announcement that the SNSD cannot allow anyone who is associated with narcotics to hold important positions, in the afternoon, firm hugs and the public release of photos with Đajić of the minister and presidential candidate Siniša Karan and the Minister of Justice Goran Selak. Đajić was questioned by the police, but that is not enough, says the president of the PDP, Draško Stanivuković, who yesterday claimed that Đajić intended to plant the drugs he bought on him.

“We are asking the Ministry of the Interior to give us that report from ten months ago. Why wasn’t Đajić detained? Who did he give the money to? We are asking who it was, in the recording you can hear: ‘How can we explain it, there are people waiting in the car down there?’ Who is waiting for that 40,000 plus money to plant,” said Stanivuković.

There are no concrete answers to many questions for now. The Minister of the Interior Željko Budimir (SNSD) does not want to say much, as he says, in the interest of the investigation. So, to the question of the mention of individuals from the police in the controversial recording.

“The police took all necessary measures and actions after Đajić was questioned, everything was forwarded to the competent Republic Prosecutor’s Office. All other things that I would comment on could jeopardize the investigation. As for the work of the police, we have internal control that takes care of everything. If it is determined that anyone participated in any illegal actions, they will be sanctioned in accordance with the law,” said Budimir.

The Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office briefly confirmed that they had received the report from the Ministry of the Interior:

“I would like to inform you that the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office, Special Department for Suppression of Corruption, Organized and the Most Serious Forms of Economic Crime, upon receipt of the Report from the Ministry of the Interior of the Republika Srpska regarding the incident in question, will submit it to the acting prosecutor, who will take further measures and actions within his jurisdiction.”

Vlado Đajić was dismissed yesterday from his position as director of the RS UKC and president of the SNSD City Committee in Banja Luka. He claimed that the entire case was framed against him.
