The most important exhibition of the Gallery ”Preporod” in 2013 will be an art exhibition entitled ” Sarajevo artists for a free B&H”. This art exhibition will be presented from the cycle called ”Resistance”. The director of the Gallery, Mirsada Baljić announced that this exhibition should be open in June 2013.
” We will mark our 20th anniversary of the art work entitled ‘‘Art troop of the Army of B&H 1992-1995”. This exhibition which consists of 68 art works by 41 artists was opened in 1992 in Sarajevo, in 1994 in Ljubljana, in 1995 in Maribor and in 1997 in Fojnica. This time we want to exhibit important documentation together with the art works.”- said Baljić.
Future plans of the Gallery ”Preporod” include the opening exhibition of master thesis art works by Merima Ivković from Mostar, which will be held in March 2013. The director of this Gallery also confirmed that one of the Turkish artists will be a guest at the ”Preporod” Gallery during this years’ ” Sarajevo Winter” Festival. As other important project of the Gallery, Baljić picked out the organization of the project, or the international art colony called ” Sarajevo 2013” as well as the exhibition ” Ottoman Period- 550 Years of Sarajevo”, where all numerous Turkish and Bosnian artist will present their works. The opening of this exhibition is scheduled for September.
” This year we also have a new project- a joint exhibition of the Artist club of the Gallery ”Preporod” which should be open in May 2013.”- said Baljić.
Other art exhibitions planned for 2013 are currently in preparations.
