BiH artists gave their contribution to development of Turkish tourist destination Alaçati

alacatiArt colony, which was opened on 1 April in tourist destination ‘Alaçati’ in Turkey has hosted painters from BiH and region. Colony ‘Balkan Art’ is a cultural contribution to this small place which is becoming an attractive tourist destination.

With a large number of rich people living there, Alaçati is a tourist destination which is not available to everyone.

‘Balkan art’ is a colony whose aim was to meet with Turkish colleagues who offered cooperation, said to Fena painter Mirza Memeledžija, and noted that in the period to come, Turkish artists will have the opportunity to present their works in BiH.

Apart from Mameledžija, painters: Izet Porović, Redžo Porović, Mirko Antonio Malešić, Dževdet Mikočević and Muhamed Bajramović also presented themselves to Turkish art fans.

Colony was organised by businessman from Alaçati Hajro Kalim with the aim of developing cultural activities in Alaçati, and the participants were awarded with the award Selim Selimanović, who was the first BiH artist who finished Bauhaus school.

The colony was visited by Turkish artists, representatives of Turkish-Bosnian Consulate headed by Kemal Baysak and municipal delegations of Alaça and Izmir.
