The President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Vjekoslav Vukovic and the Deputy General Secretary Mirko Boskovic attended the event organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, which marked the beginning of the implementation of the project “Strengthening Transatlantic tourism cooperation between the chambers of commerce of the Western Balkans and the United States (U.S.)“.

It is a multi-year project that was launched with the aim of creating a joint tourist product and promoting the offer on the market of the U.S., and by signing the Memorandum of Cooperation, which will be held during the Transatlantic Economic Forum of Southeast Europe in May, a platform for cooperation between tourist economies of the Western Balkan countries and the U.S. will be created.

In addition to the Chambers of Commerce of the Western Balkans, partners in the implementation of the project are the Transatlantic Leadership Network and the NGO Embracing Sustainability in Tourism of Montenegro.

During the event, the importance of the tourism sector for economies was highlighted, as well as the promotion of the Western Balkans region and the creation of a joint tourist offer through which untouched nature, unity of culture, tradition, natural beauty and various attractions will be presented in an area that is completely undiscovered and unique, and and interesting for tourists from the U.S.. The American tourism market is characterized by discerning travelers, who value specific and unique experiences and personalized services, who travel throughout the year and prefer to discover hidden destinations, unique experiences and attractions.

Foreign Trade Chamber representatives also attended a meeting with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajic, who was informed about the plans of the project promoted under the slogan “Mystical Balkans”, which should be a confirmation of good regional cooperation.

During the conversation, it was stated that the arrival of American tourists would be a real sign that the region is safe and offers a lot of interesting things, and it would also be a real message to companies from the U.S. that they should invest in the Western Balkans, Akta writes.
