The New Year’s three-day celebration in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) capital Sarajevo began with a concert on Sunday night at the square in front of the Cathedral in the presence of a large number of citizens, guests and tourists.

On behalf of the City of Sarajevo, Mayor Abdulah Skaka addressed the present ones by saying that the Sarajevo New Year’s celebration became a regional brand.

“In these three days, we will testify to another beautiful Sarajevo story: New Year’s Eve, and this time, the BH Capital will be positioned as important tourist destination,” Skaka said.

“Sarajevo is known for sharing good and bad, Sarajevo is well-known and after all the troubles it has faced, it managed to come out of all suffering. We share this pain with a man who I want to especially greet and I would like to thank him with a great applause, my dear friend Muriz Memic, “Skaka said.

Guests and visitors of the concert were able to listen to the most beautiful and most famous evergreens, they danced valcer dance, and visitors especially enjoyed in the ones composed by famous Anthony Hopkins 50 years ago.

Choir “Sevdalinke” sang several very good songs and young singers of “MuzikArt” also brought great atmosphere and made an unforgettable evening.

On the New Year’s Eve, the central stage in front of the Eternal Fire will host one of the greatest regional singers Hari Mata Hari. Sarajevans will be able to listen to the greatest hits by Bombaj Stampa as well.
