The President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, presented the newly appointed Tuzla Mayor Zijad Lugavić at the party’s headquarters.

“I would like to especially thank the citizens of Tuzla for voting for me, and this obliges me to implement my work program. All 60 activities will be respected and we will do more than we planned,” underlined Lugavić.

His Work Program focuses on economically sustainable development and even better quality of life for citizens and greater involvement of citizens. He intends to achieve this by implementing 60 activities that the citizens and business entities of Tuzla have identified as the most significant for the future development of Tuzla.

Among other things, he says that he will work on better development of communal infrastructure, greater efficiency of public administration, and reduction of air pollution.

He also emphasized that he will remain committed to nurturing anti-fascism in his work.

The SDP President Nermin Nikšić hopes that Lugavić will continue on the set path so that Tuzla remains an example of a multi-ethnic society.

The President of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, commented on the process of forming the government at the FBiH level today at the headquarters of that party and expressed the expectation that a session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will soon be scheduled, at which the president and vice-presidents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina should be appointed.

“When it comes to signatures, which we have already discussed, it is led by the heads of the clubs of the declared parliamentary majority, and there is a deadline for it to be collected by Thursday. Collecting signatures is an obligation undertaken by members of the parliamentary majority, and heads of clubs, so we will see who will fulfill their obligation or possibly who will not,” said Nikšić.

He adds that the signatures are intended to demonstrate the existence of a parliamentary majority with which the leadership of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina should be elected, Fena reports.
