According to the data of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina published on December 24, 2021, the number of employed persons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina reached 534,166 on December 20, 2021, said Nadir Jahić, an adviser in the FBiH Prime Minister’s Office.

This reached and exceeded the number of employees registered with the Tax Administration on March 16, 2020, when a state of natural disaster was declared in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which then amounted to 534,076.

After declaring a state of natural disaster, initially, the number of employees in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina decreased by 26,459 and has since gradually recovered in parallel with the recovery of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially with the recovery and expansion of industrial production and exports, Jahić said.
