BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić and BiH Presidency members Šefik Džaferović and Milorad Dodik received Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

Members of the Presidency of BiH welcomed the exceptionally good and friendly political relations and cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey, which are accompanied by intensive high-level visits. Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey have no open issues, and the most important areas of bilateral relations are legally regulated, which is a good basis for improving the already good bilateral cooperation, the Presidency of BiH said.

Minister Akar reiterated his strong support for the stability and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed readiness to respond to any request for assistance and cooperation from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Turkey.

Speaking about cooperation in the field of defense, it was said that it is at a satisfactory level, as evidenced by numerous signed agreements, and those that are in the preparation phase and which regulate this area. Minister Akar expressed readiness to continue cooperation in the field of education of members of the military forces, in military exercises and in the demining process.
