The Number of Employees in the Federation decreased by Two Thousand

The number of employees in the Federation as of July 31, 2025 is 545,018. Compared to the published data on the number of employees as of June 30, 2025, when it was 547,055, the number of employees is 2,037 less.

Therefore, in one month, the number of employees in the FBIH decreased by over 2 thousand, according to official data from the Federation Tax Administration.

According to official records, activities in which the number of employees decreased include: education, textile production, coal and lignite mining, plant and livestock production, hunting and related service activities, wholesale trade except trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles, clothing production and other activities.

Activities in which the number of employees increased include: preparation and serving of food and beverages, retail trade except trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles, land transport and pipeline transport, accommodation activities, computer programming, consulting and related activities, and other activities.

Public revenues increased

Taxpayers of the Federation of BiH paid 5.07 billion KM in public revenues in the period January-July 2025, which is 475.12 million KM more, or 10.33 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.

As of 31.7.2025, the number of active business entities with included business units and branches in the Federation of BiH was 134,225, and as of 31.7.2024, the number of active business entities in the Federation of BiH was 130,772.

Recording of turnover via fiscal devices

According to official data from the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH, as of 31.7.2025, a total of 108,358 fiscal devices were installed in the territory of the Federation of BiH, through which a total turnover of 6.45 billion KM was recorded in July 2025.

Compared to 31.7.2024, the number of fiscal devices is 4,777 higher, and the recorded turnover in July 2025 is 74.61 million KM higher compared to July 2024.

The municipality with the largest number of fiscal devices as of 31.7.2025 is the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo, in whose territory 7,117 fiscal devices were installed.

The municipality with the highest total turnover via fiscal devices in July 2025 is the Municipality of Ilidža, with turnover in the amount of 532,592,991 KM.

Inspections carried out

In the period January – July 2025, the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH carried out 3,916 inspections – quick checks. Compared to the period January – July 2024, when 2,652 controls were carried out, the number of controls in 2025 is 1,264 higher.

In the rapid controls carried out in the period January – July 2025, 120 facilities were discovered that did not have a permit to operate, and in the same period in 2024, 93 facilities were discovered.

In the period January – July 2025, 691 unregistered workers were discovered, while in the same period in 2024, 868 unregistered workers were discovered.

In the period January – July 2025, 98 facilities were discovered that did not have a fiscal device installed, and in the same period in 2024, 89 facilities. Also, in the period January – July 2025, 1,069 fiscalization payers were detected who did not record turnover via fiscal device, and in the period January – July 2024, 702 fiscalization payers were detected.

Due to the irregularities identified in the period January – July 2025, 401 facilities were sealed, and in the same period in 2024, 247 facilities.

In the period January – July 2025, misdemeanor orders were issued in 1,607 inspections, and in the same period in 2024, misdemeanor orders were issued in 1,233 inspections.

Based on the issued misdemeanor orders in the period January – July 2025, fines in the amount of 4,213,070.00 KM were imposed, and in the same period in 2024, in the amount of 4,461,890.00 KM.
