Džanan Musa underwent surgery in Munich for an abdominal wall injury and it is unknown whether he will play in the EuroBasket.
Džanan Musa’s PR team announced that our basketball player has problems with an injury, which has caused him to miss numerous training sessions, and it is very possible that we will not see him on the court in Cyprus.
“We would like to inform the public that Džanan, due to pain in his abdomen, urgently traveled to Munich two days ago, where it was determined that he needed surgery, which was performed by Dr. Ulrike Muschaweck, the world’s best doctor in the field. The doctors’ prognosis is good, and Džanan will be in Sarajevo tomorrow after yesterday’s surgery. He is currently recovering in Munich. We would like to point out that everything was done in coordination with the medical team of the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team and Džanan’s club BC Dubai. We would like to thank the management of the Dubai club, which reacted expeditiously and showed great professionalism. Džanan expressed his desire to do everything possible and to leave room for a possible appearance at the upcoming EuroBasket, in accordance with his great desire to be with the team in Cyprus. In this situation, his appearance is certainly uncertain.”
As a reminder, the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team traveled to Belgium today for a friendly tournament against the home team and Great Britain, and Musa was not with the basketball players.
He spent the previous three days first in Dubai, where the injury was diagnosed, and then in Munich, where he underwent surgery and is currently recovering. Unofficially, the recovery should last 14 days until the start of the normal training process, but even in those conditions, Musa should not be fully ready to perform, so it is most likely that he will not perform at Eurobasket.
Eurobasket starts on August 27, and for our team a day later, when we will play against the Cyprus team.
