The Office of the President of the RS explained why the Defamation Complaint was filed

The Office of the President of Republika Srpska reacted after it was announced yesterday that they filed a criminal complaint with the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Banja Luka for defamation, which was recently introduced into the criminal legislation.

They claim that Dodik did not file a criminal complaint for defamation, but they further explain that they forwarded an edited video that appeared on the X social network to the MUP of the RS from the president’s office and demanded that they act in accordance with their duties.

Accordingly, they emphasize that Milorad Dodik did not file a criminal complaint for defamation, however, the media explained in detail in their articles that the complaint was filed by the MUP of the RS on the order of the president’s office to carry out their duties.

They discovered that the reason for the report was a video recording of the alleged guest appearance of the President of the Republic of Srpska on Radio Republika Srpska. They point out that the video appeared on the X social network, but that it was fabricated and most likely created using artificial intelligence.

They emphasized that the content of the recording of the alleged guest appearance of President Dodik is absolutely false, and that they informed the Ministry of Interior in order to prevent its further reproduction and distribution.

The statement emphasizes that the Office of the President, as well as President Dodik himself, did not qualify the act, Klix.ba reports.
