messFor the first time in the history of MESS International Theater Festival, this year will open in a spectacular way under the Old Bridge in Mostar, with the international co-productions of Ireland, Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina called “Osvajanje sreće”, “Winning luck”, directed by Haris Pašović.

This was confirmed from the MESS Festival Director Dino Mustafić to the agency Fena, stressing that this festival for years is having performances and other program contents not only in Sarajevo but also in other cities of B&H.

“We have the pleasure that this year will be able to see performances of several world authors that are for the first time part of the MESS Festival, such as the famous choreographers Vim Wanderkeybus, Daniel Larrieu, great Angelica Liddeli, celebrity Bolivian troops Teatro de los Andes, Italian group Anagor and a number of very prestigious regional directors like Janezic and his impressive “Galeba”, says Mustafić.

He announces that the festival will close by one of the best European directors, the brilliant Cristoph Mathaler, the audience still remembers his masterpiece that was performed on MESS a few years ago “Murx Den Europaer“.

“I think we will have a chance to see an interesting program that will meet the quality and standards of the festival, despite the difficult economic situation in which is B&H cultural sector, and therefore even our international scene”, said Mustafić.

He considers that MESS is not only a festival that presents the world theater in B&H scenes but the professional and educational bridge of B&H theater, theater platform of B&H authors and theatrical achievements towards European and international festivals, as the young colleagues and actors this year have proved with their presences after MESS‘s selection at festivals in Holland, Germany and Poland.
