The Palestinian Community in BiH calls for the Defense of Palestinian Churches and an End to Attacks

The Palestinian community in Bosnia and Herzegovina calls on all churches in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as all free and honorable people, to defend Palestinian churches and to work to stop, as they say, the continuous attacks carried out by Israeli settlers.

As they stated, the presidential supreme committee for monitoring the issues of the churches in Palestine called on the churches of the world to take action regarding the escalation of settler attacks on the Palestinians, warning of the threat to their historical existence on their land.

The committee clarified in its message, published on Sunday, that the attacks included the areas of Birzeit, Al-Makhrour, Al-Taybeh, Ein Arik and Aş al-Ghurab.

He confirmed that the attacks ranged from physical attacks and arrests, to confiscation of land and the expansion of settlement points, as part of a systematic policy aimed at changing the demographic character and forced displacement of the population.

The Committee stressed that these violations are not isolated incidents, but part of an organized campaign of violence and terror that is carried out under the protection of the occupying forces and in conditions of complete impunity.

He pointed out that the Commission for Resistance to the Wall and Settlements documented more than 4,723 attacks by settlers in 2025, with an additional 720 attacks with the direct participation of the occupying forces, while the United Nations announced that settlement expansion had reached its highest level since 2017.

The Committee added that this escalation comes in the wider context of violations to which the Palestinian people are subjected, including house demolitions, displacement of families, sieges and wars, which represent a picture of collective punishment and a clear violation of international humanitarian law.

The committee called on the churches of the world to assume their spiritual, moral and diplomatic responsibilities by exerting pressure to ensure the real protection of Palestinian civilians, including Christians.

He also demanded that the occupying state be held accountable for crimes committed in accordance with international law, and the rejection of all policies and practices aimed at displacing the population and undermining their historical presence on their own land, the Palestinian Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
