The situation at the fire site in Neum is much better and so far there are no threatened houses or commercial buildings.

“The situation at the fire site is currently satisfactory and under control, the extreme edges are being extinguished and so far neither houses nor commercial buildings are threatened,” said deputy commander of the Neum Professional Fire Department, Jozo Vuletic.

He added that there are eight Neum firefighters on the ground.

In the latest report of the Federal Administration of Civil Protection, it is stated that the fire near Zelenikovac is almost completely extinguished, but due to the wind there is a risk of reactivation, which is why firefighters are on the ground.

The fire is active in the wider area of Zaba Mountain, but the population and houses are not threatened.

During the day, two helicopters of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina were operating, and there is still a need to engage canadairs.
