Many citizens are finding it increasingly difficult to adapt to the high prices of some basic products on the Croatian coast, and one tourist was shocked when he saw how much he paid for ice cream in Dubrovnik.
Namely, according to a published receipt, this guest from Dalmatia paid 15.60 euros for four scoops of ice cream during his visit to Dubrovnik, which means that each scoop averaged 3.90 euros (7.62 BAM).
This is neither the first nor the last time that photos of receipts have surfaced with sharp criticism. Most often, the discussions revolve around the prices of accommodation and food. When it comes to the causes, they are multiple. However, no one can deny that inflation is the main driving force behind such trends.
According to the latest estimates by the State Bureau of Statistics, the annual inflation rate in Croatia for May is 3.3 percent.
Another thing that has caused dissatisfaction among tourists in Dubrovnik is the recently revised parking ticket price in this city.
From the first of May in Dubrovnik, visitors must pay 10 euros per hour near the old city center, while a full-day ticket costs 200 euros. In the second zone, a daily ticket costs 132.70 euros, and in the third zone, 17.30 euros, N1 writes.
