The Prosecution of BiH has called Dodik for Questioning after his Denial of the Genocide in Srebrenica

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has summoned a member of the Presidency of BiH and the President of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, for questioning due to his denial of the genocide in Srebrenica.

This information was confirmed by Dodik himself duringyesterday’s visit to Mostar. He announced it by commenting on the fact that the mayor of Jablanica, Damir Sabanovic (SDP), filed a criminal complaint against him for not engaging helicopters of the Armed Forces (AF) to put out the fire. Jablanica was among the areas where there were large fires a few days ago.

“Everyone has the right to do that. I think I am the man against whom there is the largest number of criminal charges. Something new comes up every day. I see that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has invited me today to question me about alleged genocide denial. We simply do not want foreigners to impose laws, regardless of what the content of the law is. Of course, we in BiH will never agree on that. We Serbs are not vassals and we do not want to have foreigners who will decide on that,” he said yesterday.

To recall, on July 23rd, before the end of his mandate, former High Representative Valentin Inzko imposed a legal ban on denying the genocide in Srebrenica. On the same day, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH announced that it would form cases against all those who would violate this law.

This law is unacceptable for political parties from the Republika Srpska (RS), and Dodik is among the loudest politicians from this entity who have been denying the genocide in Srebrenica for years now. Since this law is unacceptable to them and that it is a consequence of the decision of the High Representative, the parties from RS have decided to boycott the work of state institutions of BiH.

It is important to note that Dodik, as an opposition politician, had the opinion that genocide did occur in Srebrenica in July 1995.

The RS National Assembly rejected Inzko’s decision and decided to legally prohibit calling this entity genocidal, Klix.ba writes.
