The Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to complete the investigation into war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel against the Palestinians.
In a statement after the joint summit held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, it was emphasized that it is necessary to lift the blockade and immediately introduce humanitarian aid convoys into Gaza.
The OIC and the Arab League called on the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to investigate Israel’s use of banned substances.
The summit participants strongly condemned “Israel’s aggression against the Gaza Strip and the war crimes and barbaric, brutal and inhumane massacres committed by the colonial occupation government during this aggression, as well as against the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank, including East Al-Quds (Jerusalem).”
In the Declaration after the joint summit of the OIC and the Arab League, it is stated that Israel and no other country in the region will achieve security and peace until the people of Palestine have peace and security.
It rejected “describing this war of retaliation as self-defense or justifying it under any pretext” with a demand that it be stopped immediately.
“We call on all countries to immediately stop the export of weapons with which the occupying army of Israel and settler terrorists kill Palestinians and destroy their homes, hospitals, schools, mosques, churches and all their property,” the declaration states.
It also calls for an end to the expansion of Israeli settlements, emphasizes the importance of the Arab Peace Initiative and condemns “double standards” in the application of international law.
The OIC and the Arab League call for an international peace conference for Palestine to be organized as soon as possible, through which a credible peace process will be launched according to international law and for the activation of the Islamic Financial Safety Network to provide financial contributions and financial, economic and humanitarian support to the Government of the State of Palestine and UNRWA.
The host of the meeting, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, repeated the demands for the immediate cessation of military operations in the Gaza Strip, the lifting of the blockade, and the release of all prisoners and prisoners.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi called for an immediate and permanent unconditional ceasefire in Gaza.
“The policy of collective punishment of the people in Gaza is unacceptable and cannot be justified by statements that it is a matter of defense,” he said, adding that Israel must stop such actions immediately.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said Palestinians were facing a “genocidal war” and called on the US to force Israel to stop its attacks.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi praised Hamas and called on Muslim countries to impose sanctions on Israel’s oil and goods.
The Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit was held in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to discuss the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.

The Secretary-General called for an immediate, durable, and comprehensive cessation of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, for opening humanitarian corridors to deliver aid and essential needs to the Gaza Strip in an adequate and sustainable manner; and for providing international protection for the Palestinian people. He underlined his absolute rejection of plans for the forced displacement of Palestinians, indicating that a just, lasting, and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian Cause requires the establishment of the independent State of Palestine on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, based on international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
