“Future Falcons”, is an elite program in Spain by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, which trains and develops the best young players and coaches of this country.
Coach Abdulhakeem Al-Tuwaijri signed a contract with Zeljeznicar through the Future Falcons program, which is affiliated with the Saudi Arabian Football Association.
This step is part of the “Future Falcons” program’s goals to develop national coaches and administrators, opening doors for them to work in Europe, as well as to train and develop young players for the national selection of Saudi Arabia.
This marks Al-Tuwaijri‘s first experience as a head coach for the first team in Europe. Al-Tuwaijri started his journey in Europe with the “Saudi Future Falcons” program as an assistant coach and later became a coach for the team. He moved to Slavia Prague as an assistant coach for the reserve team and eventually became an assistant coach for the first team.
His journey led him to the team from Grbavica as the head coach of the first team this season, reflecting the abilities of the national coach, who is steadily and confidently walking through Europe. Zeljeznicar is considered one of the biggest clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), having won the league title 8 times, the BiH Cup 6 times, and the European Cup once in the 1984/85 season.
“Although they are currently in the middle of the standings in the BiH Premier League, their ambition remains to participate in Europe, possibly reaching the first round of the UEFA Champions League under the leadership of national coach Abdulhakeem Al-Tuwaijri if they win the championship,” the publication stated, N1 reports.
