Ministers of Foreign Affairs of BiH and Algeria, Igor Crnadak and Abdelkader Mesahel, stated that the economic relations between the two countries need to be improved, and they agreed to organize the second Investment Conference BiH-Algeria in BiH in 2019, as announced from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
In the announcement was noted that Crnadak is staying in a two-day official visit to Algeria and that he and Minister Mesahel discussed the improvement of relations between BiH and Algeria, with a special focus on the field of economy, considering large potentials in sectors of energy, mining, military industry and agriculture.
A large number of businessmen from Algeria will participate at the Second Investment Conference BiH-Algeria, and the conference would be part of the return visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algiria Mesahel to BiH.
It was agreed that the Chamber of Commerce of BiH, the Chamber of Commerce of the RS and the FBiH, as well as numerous businessmen from BiH, will take part in the organization of the visit.
Crnadak and Mesahel also discussed the possibility of signing agreements in the fields of investment, healthcare, tourism and readmission.
During the meeting, they also discussed the topic of security and the fight against terrorism, which is one of the main foreign-policy priorities, both in BiH and Algeria.
One of the topics of the meeting was also the situation in Southeast Europe and North Africa, as well as some other important international issues.
