What is the most exported Product from BiH?

An increasing number of European and world companies are looking for suppliers from BiH, mostly from the automotive, wood and metal industries. The most exported product when it comes to the FBiH are seats.

Pero Coric, the director of the sector of the branch associations of the Chamber of Commerce of the RS, noted that a significant interest of foreign companies for the production of certain parts in BiH has been recorded in the last few years.

“They are mainly from the metal, electric and automotive sector,” noted Coric.

The Director of Sectors for Industry and Services and Secretary of the Metal and Electro Industry Association of the Chamber of Commerce of the FBiH, Almin Malisevic, noted that more than 98 % of products in this sector are exported.

He stated that an export growth is evident when it comes to the automotive industry in the FBiH. He added that exports in this field amounted to 786.8 million BAM in 2014, 783.4 million BAM in 2015, 792.5 million BAM in 2016 and 816.2 million BAM in 2017.

“We can say that the number of employees in the metal sector is larger than 30,000 in more than 1,400 companies. This sector makes almost a quarter of total production and more than one third of exports realized in the FBiH,” he stated.

Moreover, exports of metal and electrical industry in the FBiH in 2014 and 2015 amounted to a total of 2.6 billion BAM, 2.5 billion BAM a year later and slightly more than 3 billion BAM last year.

Exports from BiH amounted to 2.86 billion BAM in the first quarter of this year, which represents an increase of 11.81 % in comparison to the same period last year, according to data from the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH. Goods worth 2.09 billion BAM were exported to the EU, which represents an increase of 16 %. We mostly exported to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Serbia, Montenegro, Italy…
