The situation at the fire site in Hranisava – Bjelašnica has worsened and there is a danger of the fire spreading, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection (FUCZ) announced today.
From the Municipal Operational Center of Civil Protection Hadžići received an Extraordinary Report on the situation at the fire site on Bjelašnica, in which it was stated that the spread of the fire occurred beyond the established fire prevention averages, so there is a great danger of the fire spreading to the large forest area of the Hranisava peaks on the north-eastern side of the mountain. As stated by FUCZ, considering that the employees of the KJP “Sarajevo-šuma” ran out of water for extinguishing the fire, the Hadžići Municipal Civil Protection Service requests the urgent deployment of a helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina to extinguish the fire on the peaks of the Bjelašnica mountain, in order to prevent the further spread of the fire and causing great material damage to the forest area.
