Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced today that 51 citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been killed in Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion of that country.

According to the ministry’s report, 167 mercenaries arrived in Ukraine from Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 24, 46 left and 70 left.

The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced in April that there was no information about any BiH citizen who went to fight on the side of Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion, and especially not about 167 people, as Russia claims without evidence.

The same source published a table with, as it is claimed, the number of foreign fighters who came to fight in Ukraine against Russian forces, which also includes the number of killed, the number of those who left Ukraine, and the number of others.

A report released today by the Russian ministry states that 204 mercenaries arrived from Croatia, 74 were killed, 51 left Ukraine, and 79 remained, 156 from Kosovo, while 61 were killed, 60 left and 35 remained, from Montenegro two arrived, one was killed and one is said to have remained. According to that source, 79 fighters arrived in Ukraine from Northern Macedonia, 21 were killed, 19 left the country, and 39 remained.

According to these data, most foreign fighters arrived from Poland – 1,831.

“The Russian Ministry of Defense monitors and records the presence of every foreign mercenary in Ukraine,” it was published on the Ministry’s website.
