Although skiing in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) started a little later this year, due to the very warm first month of winter, fans of this sport will be able to enjoy the winter idyll even during the Labour Day holidays.
The skiing season on Jahorina started a little later this year, on January 12th, and skiers on Bjelasnica could have enjoyed it from January 15th.
The director of “ZOI-84” Jasmin Mehic confirmed that the skiing season will be open in May as well, as long as the weather conditions allow. The plan is to continue the season during May.
The Jahorina Olympic Center also confirmed that the ski area will be open during the Labour Day holidays and that they expect a large number of visitors.
“Spring has already arrived, but we will continue the skiing season on Jahorina until the beginning of May, so far we have 115 days of work. The conditions for skiing are excellent, there is over 40 cm of snow on our ski slopes, the days are longer and sunnier, the slopes are not crowded and spring skiing is really made for enjoyment. There is currently a 40 percent discount on ski tickets and it is planned to organize skiing on Jahorina as long as the weather conditions allow it, even though most of the ski resorts in the region have closed this season as of today, we will continue,” they said from this center, Klix.ba reports.
