Actor Christian Klepser, known as Christian Oliver, and his two daughters, Madita and Annik, aged 10 and 12, died in a plane crash near the Caribbean island of Bequia.
In the announcement of the police force of St. Vincent and the Grenadines said the incident occurred off the island of Bequia. The small single engine plane was traveling from JF Mitchell Airport to St. Lucia.
“A few moments after takeoff, the aircraft experienced difficulties and crashed into the ocean,” local authorities said.
“Fishermen and divers went to the scene of the incident in their boats to render assistance. The Coast Guard was notified and quickly traveled to Bequia Island on a rescue mission,” they added.
Authorities identified the three passengers on the plane as Kristian Klepser, 51, and his two daughters, Madita, 10, and Annik, 12. The pilot was identified as Robert Sachs, who also owned the plane.
Authorities said the bodies of the pilot and passenger were pulled from the plane and the sea by the Coast Guard. The victims were later pronounced dead.
Christian Oliver has appeared in a variety of films and TV roles over the years, but is best known for his role as Snake Oiler in 2008’s Speed Racer. He also appeared alongside Tom Cruise in the 2009 film Valkyrie. He recently starred in the latest Indiana Jones film and is known for the Cobra series, Klix.ba writes.
