Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is decorated with festive clothes of national flags and this year welcomes the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a candlelight vigil.

By placing flags on city streets and the busiest traffic roads, the cantonal company Park started decorating this morning on the occasion of the national holiday, which is celebrated on Saturday, November 25, is confirmed to Fena news agency by the information specialist of KJKP “Park” Aldijana Hamza.

She emphasized that the Park’s teams are on the ground, first in Maršala Tita Street, where they are placing BiH flags in the area above the road lanes and both pedestrian zones.

“Flags of smaller dimensions will be placed in the part of the street from the Eternal Fire monument all the way to the Children’s Square of Sarajevo. The part from the Children’s Square of Sarajevo next to the Great and Small Park, the building of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina will also be festively decorated with national flags displayed on stands on public lighting poles all the way to Marijin Dvor,” said Hamza.

In the same way, the Park company’s team will decorate the part of Sarajevo from Marijin dvor to Ilidža and back, i.e. Zmaja od Bosna Street, Meša Selimović Boulevard, and Džemal Bijedić, i.e. the area along the main city road. Obala Kulina bana street, upstream along Miljacka all the way to Vijećnica, will be decorated in the same way.

“The teams of the Park plan to finish displaying the flags of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the streets of Sarajevo today, and if the weather makes the work difficult, the decoration will be finished already tomorrow in the morning,” said Hamza.

National flags on the occasion of BiH Statehood Day will decorate the streets of Sarajevo during the national holiday, but also at the beginning of the next week, and after that, the teams of the Park company will remove them as per the protocol.

The company Park also decorates the main streets of the municipality of Vogošća with national and municipal flags, and it realizes these activities within the framework of cooperation with the Municipality of Vogošća, as a unit of local self-government.
