The trial of Živojin Majstorović, Radenko Dubočanin and Radosav Savić, who are accused of crimes against humanity committed in 1992 in the area of Vlasenica, should begin on April 8, it was agreed at the status conference.

At that hearing, the Prosecution is scheduled to read the indictment, present its opening statement and examine the first witnesses.

The Chairperson of the Judicial Council, Enida Hadžiomerović, said that she received from the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina a proposal for the list of witnesses who will testify in this case, stating that it is about one count of the indictment.

Hadžiomerović said that the injured party will not be summoned to the courtroom in case of property claims, but that an official note will be made. The Prosecutor’s Office was asked to prepare in advance a list of witnesses they plan to hear in a month.

Prosecutor Seid Marušić, at the request of Judge Hadžiomerović, said that a proposal had been submitted to accept the facts established by the court.

The defense stated that they will present their strategy after the Prosecution finishes presenting evidence, reports Detektor.

Majstorović, Dubočanin and Savić are accused of participating in an attack on the village of Duriće and the surrounding towns, inhabited by the Bosniak population, in early June 1992 – armed with automatic weapons. 25 civilians were killed in the attacks, including men, women, one minor and elderly people.

According to earlier statements by the Prosecutor’s Office, several civilians were taken to the “Sušica” camp and the Police Station building, and seven people in an unknown direction, since then all traces of them have been lost, and their bodies have not been found to this day, Detektor reports.
