Theatre Fest opened in Banja Luka

zgrada-narodnog-pozorista[1]President of RS National Assembly Igor Radojičić has opened the 16th Theatre Festival ‘Petar Kočić’ and six theatre from BiH, Serbia and Croatia will participate at the festival, reports SRNA.

Radojičić said that the art is indeed important and said that the jury (Nebojša Bradić, Miloš Babić and Nikola Pejaković) will decided which play is the best, together with the best actor, actress, scene, costumes, and noted that he’s happy that citizens of Banja Luka will have the opportunity to enjoy several days of art.

RS Minister of Education and Culture Goran Mutabdžija wished all participants the best of luck noting that the National Theatre of RS is one of the best in Europe.

The festival was opened with the exhibition ‘Living with art’ by Živorad Pećarić, and the premiere of the play ‘S planine i ispod planine’ by Stela Korljan.

Plays that will be shown during the festival until it closes on 9 June are : “Dabogda te majka rodila” by Croatian National Theatre ‘Ivan plemeniti Zajc’ and Croatian House of Culture Theatre Rijeka ‘Grebanje ili kako se ubila moja’ by Bosnian National Theatre Zenica, ‘Sava Savanović- vampirska simfonija’ of National Theatre Kikinda, ‘Zla žena’ by National Theatre ‘Toša Jovanović’ Zrenjanin, ‘Zdrav(o) život(e) by Serb National Theatre Novi Sad, TE ‘Elijahova stolica’ by Yugoslav Drama Theatre Belgrade and MES Sarajevo.

Apart from play there will be several exhibitions and book promotions and every festival night will offer a round table on the previously shown play.

Selector of this festival is Miroslav Miki Radonjić and the sponsor of the festival is Ministry of Education and Culture of RS and City of Banja Luka.
