Cadets’ representation of B&H recorded one more historical success. Chosen players of coach Josip Pandža defeated team of Germany (70:54) in the quarterfinals of Eurobasket and qualified for the semi-finals of this competition.
Germans didn’t find a solution for Njegoš Sikiraš and Džanan Musa who led the cadets of B&H to their historical placement in the semifinals of Eurobasket.
After couple of mistakes in the opening minutes of the match on both sides, cadets of B&H found their rhythm that adorned them during the whole tournament. Sikiraš and Musa scored 6 points each while Amar Barukčija scored 2 points for 14: 6 in the first quarter.
In the second quarter of the match, B&H team completely smashed Germany. With 17 points scored by Sikiraš and 14 points by Musa, our team went on a break with the score 39:17.
The defense of young B&H basketball players was great as well and the fact that they kept down strong team of Germany to just 17 points in 20 minutes of match, speaks enough about their great performance.
In the third quarter of the match, Sikiraš and Musa performed their show on which the Germans did not have an answer. After 3 minutes of the third quarter, B&H was leading by 26 points (46:20).
By the end of the third quarter, Germans managed to decrease the advantage of the team of B&H on 51:30.
In the last quarter, Germans were quite more effective, but BH Cadets didn’t missed the chance to qualify for the historical semifinals of Eurobasket.
