Thinking of visiting Sarajevo Film Festival? Here are all the Information you need

SFF coe.intPreparations for the 21st Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) are entering the final phase. The complete program of this year’s Festival, containing 259 films from 57 countries in 18 programs, was published. SMS ticket booking starts today and on Wednesday the free sale and purchase of tickets online also begins.

The manager of the Press Office of SFF Altijana Marić told FENA, preparations of the most attractive, but also most demanding festival locations – Open Air Cinema Eronet also reached the final stage.

“Open Air will have a few days to be ready to welcome some 20,000 spectators in nine festival nights,” explained Marić.

She added that these valuable SFF in recent days, and the setting up of the festival market and conducted final preparations in the area in front of the National Theatre where the red carpet for the stars of the regional, but also international films will be set this year. The red carpet will be set just before the Festival.

“We are working on the preparations of any other sites which will take place within the festival program and we are pleased to note that this year’s festival is marked by great films and guests and we believe that the citizens of Sarajevo and visitors to the festival will enjoy the nine days of the festival magic,” concluded Marić.

Earlier, the festival director Mirsad Purivatra stressed that the audience in Sarajevo this year has the opportunity to see the best films of the world, especially in the region that have won numerous prestigious awards at film festivals.

“SFF is currently the largest and perhaps most influential festival in Southeast Europe, and thus this list of films reflects the state of cinema in the world with a special focus on the region,” explained Purivatra.

SMS ticket booking for SFF starts today at 13.00 and runs until August 13 to 18.00. Sales of individual tickets begin on August 5 at 11.00 hours at the Main Box Office (Bosnian Cultural Center in Sarajevo), when the on-line sale of tickets through the official website http://www.sff.ba.

For the opening the festival ticket price for Summer Cinema Eronet will cost 15 KM, and for the closure 12 BAM, other screenings cost eight BAM, in the Meeting Point Cinema tickets will cost five to six BAM, tickets for the screening of the film that will open the Festival at the National Theatre will cost 15 BAM, while the ticket for the award ceremony will be 20 BAM, and other screenings will cost between five and eight BAM.

Ticket price for the Novi Grad Cinema will be two to five KM, for Multiplex Cinema City, five and six, and tickets for all screenings in the cinema Laško Summer Nights will be six marks.

The curtain on this year’s 21st Sarajevo Film Festival will be lifted on August 14 until August 22. The festival will be closed by awarding official awards “Heart of Sarajevo” for the best films.
