Health workers in Sarajevo Canton announced a mass protest in front of the Cantonal Government building on Monday (October 7th) because no agreement was reached at a meeting between representatives of health workers and the Government of Canton Sarajevo held earlier, News Agency Patria reports.

As stated in the protest notice, a peaceful gathering will be held from 12:00 to 14:00 o’clock. One thousand health workers in Canton Sarajevo has announced their arrival.

“The protesters want to publicly express their dissatisfaction with the CS Government’s dissatisfaction with the attitude of the CS Government towards the health sector as a whole, and especially towards health care workers and patients, and the obligation of the CS Government to respect this Union as a social partner,” was stated in the letter by Edo Selimic, the President of the Union of Health Workers at CS.
