ajvatovicaRivers of believers have poured down this week to Prusac near Donji Vakuf, where the central manifestation of this year’s ‘505th Days of Ajvatovica’ was held.

After the muster of the bayraks in front of the Handanaga Mosque, the visit to the largest praying place of the Muslims in Europe was organized. The surah ‘Feth’ was prayed at the Ajvaz-deda’s rock, and a varied religious program was organized at the Ajvatovica meadow.

Addressing those present at Ajvatovica, the Reisu-l-Ulema of the Islamic Community in B&H Husein ef. Kavazović emphasized the significance of organization of this manifestation and the preservation of its tradition.

“I wish to express my gratitude to the generations of Muslims who have before us, by preserving the memory of this prayer and great God’s friend Ajvaz-dedo, saved for us this spirituality that can be felt only here, at Ajvatovica, and at no other place in B&H. Their hope that they trust us the preservation of this tradition from generation to generation imposes for us an obligation to, with the same flame and the same consciousness as those good Muslims, give our best to preserve Ajvatovica and the memory of Ajvaz-dedo, the greatest Bosnian spiritualist that this country has ever breeded, for our children, the generations that are to come after us, as well as for our yet unborn children”, said Reis Kavazović among other things.

The muftija of Travnik, who is also the president of the Organizing committee of the ‘505th Days of Ajvatovica’, recalled that this manifestation lasted for over a month, offering more that 90 various contents to the numerous visitors in thirteen municipalities in B&H.

ajvatovica1He thanked all those who ”have taken care of the organization of Ajvatovica since its re-establishment in 1990 until today, and especially those who contributed to the organizing of Ajvatovica at high level this year as well”.

Among several anniversaries significant for the Bosnian people, which are being marked in 2015, Adilović choose two: 400th anniversary of the death of Hasan Kafija Pruščak, and 20th anniversary of the genocide committed against the Bosniaks of Srebrenica.

“In the book ‘Foundations of the Wisdom of World Management’, Hasan Kafi Pruščak analyzes the condition of the empire at the time and points out to the weaknesses of the society and political system. It should be a message to the nowadays intelligency not to take side of the actual happenings, but to find the exit from the difficult political, economical and moral condition with competent analysis and strategic visions. The moral of this work to our people is that there is no place for indolency and expecting that the problems will solve themselves, but it is about doing all one can and facilitate the prosperity in the community”, he said.
