Thousands of People attended the Funeral of Elvedin Varupa

[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Yesterday afternoon, at the cemetery Grbavica near Vitez, was held a funeral for 40-year-old Elvedin Varupa, football player who played for FC Travnik in more than 700 matches.

Varupa passed away the day before at the age of 40 after his heart stopped. Large number of his relatives, neighbors, sports colleagues, friends and acquaintances attended his funeral yesterday at the cemetery Grbavica.

The relatives, friends, acquaintances, sport colleagues, representatives of the Premier League clubs and representatives of the fan groups paid tribute to the former player of FC Travnik, who ended his playing career in July last year.

At the funeral, on behalf of the FC Travnik, the current captain Fedja Dudić addressed the audience, and said that it was a great honor to take off the captain’s armband from Varupa and said that he will always be the only captain of FC Travnik.

To recall, Elvedin Varupa was born on the 16th of November 1975 in Vitez, and he played his final match for FC Travnik in Prijedor in 2014.
