The students of Richmond Park College Bihać once again demonstrated their enviable knowledge and achieved significant success at the prestigious CASTIC Olympiad held in Tianjin, a traditional competition in projects that has been held in China for 38 years.
Students Hadzera Đug and Daris Filović won gold medals, while Ammar Horozović won a silver medal in competition from more than 20 countries.
The students were accompanied by Nermin Efendić, director of Richmond Park College in Bihać.
“The CASTIC Olympiad changes the location of the competition every year, so this year’s was held in Tianjin, which is located near Beijing. We made a connection there, and thus the possibility that our students will have the opportunity to participate in the next Olympiad, all depending on what kind achieve results at the BOSEPO Olympics in Sarajevo,” said Efendić.
He also praised the organization of the competition.
“What is important to emphasize is that the CASTIC Olympics chooses its participants worldwide, so this was an honor and recognition for us,” said Efendić.
After the competition, the team stayed in Beijing for a few days, where they visited the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and other sights, all with organized transportation by the hosts.
“As for our students, they are delighted with their stay in China, where they got to know another culture, people, food and customs. It was an unforgettable experience that will open our students’ horizons and give them the motivation to continue to step better and more decisively in the future,” said Efendic.
This success of Richmond Park College Bihać students once again confirms the high level of education and dedication of students and teachers to knowledge and science, and contributes to the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international scene.
