Laboratory analysis of 308 samples in the past 24 hours in Sarajevo Canton confirmed three new cases of coronavirus infection. In the same period, 11 people recovered from the Covid infection, and one person passed away, unfortunately. Of the mentioned number of newly infected, three people belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected persons, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Currently, 31 patients are in hospital, 14 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”17. There are no patients on a respirator, nor those who use oxygen breathing support. In the past 24 hours, five people were discharged from hospital treatment.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 149 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 829 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 52,630 people infected with coronavirus and 51,197 cured have been registered in Sarajevo Canton. According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of CS, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is six, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is nine.

The CS Health Center explained that the revaccination of citizens with Pfizer vaccines was prolonged for several days. It is expected that these vaccines will arrive today at the FBiH Public Health Institute, which will send them to the BiH Medicines Agency for verification, and after that the vaccines will be distributed to CS.

The Coordination Team tells the citizens that there is no reason for concern, because revaccination will be continued immediately after receiving the vaccines. They point out that the second dose of Pfizer vaccine, according to the manufacturer's instructions, can be administered up to six weeks after the first vaccination.

Citizens will be informed about the start and dates of revaccination in a timely manner through the Information System in charge of inviting citizens for vaccination, as well as through the media.

The Ministry of Health of CS and health institutions thank the citizens for their cooperation and ask them to continue to respect all prescribed hygienic-epidemiological measures.
