Three Police Officers and another Person arrested in Tuzla Canton

Investigators of the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of the Tuzla Canton, more precisely the Department for Combating Organized and Computer Crime, conducted an action within the framework of the case led by the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Tuzla against B.K. and others.

Acting on the order of the competent prosecutor, on March 30, 2026, four persons were arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of human trafficking, as prescribed by Article 210a. paragraph 6. of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH. Among the arrested were three police officers of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of the Canton of Tuzla: E.K. (2003) and I.H. (2002) from Kalesija, who were engaged in the Kalesija Police Station, and A.H. (1990) from Živinice, employed in the Živinice Police Station. The fourth arrested person is M.J. (1962) from Banovići.

After the completion of the criminal investigation, the suspects will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor’s Office.

On the same day, the Director of the Police Directorate of the Tuzla Canton Interior Ministry issued a decision on their temporary suspension, which will be in effect until the completion of criminal or disciplinary proceedings, the Tuzla Canton Interior Ministry announced.
