Internet-Three programmers from Banja Luka Miroslav Popović, Igor Marković and Radenko Zec created and made the “Silver reader” program that allows users in an easily way and more complete to read news on the Internet on mobile phones and other devices.

Speaking about the idea for this project, which is still in the pilot stage, Radenko Zec explained in an interview for “Politika” that they were motivated from the “Google” announcement that will “turn off its reader”.

“Our goal was to learn something new and to provide to users a new quality service. Currently we are not thinking about the benefits from this project. At the moment we do not have any financial benefit from this reader “, said Zec.

He explained a few advantages of this service in regard to other services.

“The first is the display speed (rendering) of news on our site. We currently have a web-version that is about two times faster than the “Google”‘ reader and four to five times faster than our competitors. Advantage is the support for security https:// connection through the entire application, not just when logging, then a simple user of interface, the ability to create their own user accounts as logging capabilities via “Google”-and “Facebook”-orders, advanced functionality, such as the ability to right click through the entire application”, explained Zec, who believes that he and his colleagues have a solution that will attract people because of the quality of their reader.

He believes that their project may offer some features that the others can not. They hope to get as much feedback from users, to adjust the solutions to the users needs and eventually to get a service that will allow easy following of the content on the internet and to spare time.

Zec says that he and his colleagues learned a lot through making the “Silver reader” and they hope for a bright future in the field of programming.

“This project is just the beginning. As with all Internet-projects, even our reader needs constantly to be worked on, to be improved and adapted to the users needs. The real work has yet to come – is sure Zec, who announces the enhancement of existing web-solutions of readers and developing of applications for “android” IOS system, “Windows phone” and “Windows 8”.

Project “Silver reader” has emerged as a hobby of these talented programmers, as all three have done similar projects. They created the reader on their free time, and for making it took about three or four months. All three are employed and they are about thirty years old. Miroslav Marković has completed the College of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Professional Studies in Belgrade, Igor Marković graduated from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade and Radenko Zec graduated from “Banja Luka College” in Banja Luka.
