Tijana Pejic from Srebrenica, an architecture student, won second place at the world competition of architecture students held in Chicago, United States (U.S). The People’s Choice Award competition is one of the leading platforms for architecture and design, in which students from all over the world participate.

Each color is associated with a specific meaning

Her work “Color Bar” is based on the study of the colors of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) palette, which is recognized as the basis of contemporary visual arts and media. Each color is associated with a certain meaning, and, in accordance with their effects, the zoning of different branches of art is determined.

Tijana worked on this project in cooperation with the professor of the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, Ivan Boskovic, and the assistant, Milos Kostic.

Tijana was among the top ten students

”For me, this competition was extremely important, because it was the first in the field of architecture in which I participate. This is a huge part for me and an incentive to continue working on the vocation I chose when enrolling at the faculty,” Pejic emphasized.

Tijana was among the ten best students at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, with a grade point average of 9.3. She also achieved exceptional results at the master’s study, which she enrolled at that faculty last year.
