dan_narcisaThe Narcissus Day is the World day of the fight against breast cancer, which is traditionally marked on the last Saturday in March.

Foundation “Sanela Režepagić” is organizing a humanitarian action Narcissus day in front of the Cathedral. This is a humanitarian action in which narcissus are sold-the flower which symbolizes the wakening up of life and hope.

This manifestation is supported by this foundation, and the money collected from the narcissus are designated for the prevention and early detection of breast cancer.

The Foundation “Sanela Redžepagić” is making a campaign about the spread of awareness about breast cancer, and regarding this more than 70 000 of the easily recognizable stickers will be distributed.

More and more women are being diagnosed with breast cancer, and in Bosnia about 2 000 women have been registered. Approximately 700 of women die, and in general those are the women in which cancer was revealed in the late stages.

According to the Foundation, in the EU every 2 minutes one woman is diagnosed with cancer, and every 6 minutes one of them dies and this is worrying.
