putThe toll on the expressway from Banja Luka to Gradiška will begin by the end of the year, and soon a tender will be signed for the construction of tollbooths and the purchase of equipment, said for ‘Glas Srpske’ the Director of ‘Autoputeva RS’ Dušan Topić.

He added that by the end of this or beginning of next month a tender is expected to be signed for the procurement of equipment for tolls and the construction of tollbooths.

Topić said that for drivers who go along this route every day, they will be able to buy a monthly or annual ticket, which will include a discount. He added that the price will be around the same as it is in the rest of the region, and be about 2 KM.

‘’Autoputevi RS counted on revenue from tolls and we can no longer wait for this project to delay’’, said Topić.

According to him, the construction of part of the highway from Doboj to Prnjavor is going at a dynamic pace.

‘’For the second part of the highway Banja Luka-Doboj, from Banja Luka to Prnjavor agreements with the most favorable contractor has not been signed yet, and the loan from the European Investment Bank has not been approved due to administrative procedures in Luxembourg and the annual holiday’’, said Topić and added that the loan should be approved at the end of August or beginning of September.

‘’After that an agreement will be signed with the contractor and company that would have control over the work. The beginning of the works on the section of the highway from Banja Luka to Doboj will follow probably sometime in November’’, said Topić.

On the first section of the highway from Doboj to Prnjavor, the works are being led by the company ‘Integral Engineering’ from Laktaši and ‘Granit’ from Skopje, which had the best offer of 180 million KM. They also provided the best offer for the construction of the second highway of 158 million euros.

Topić said that the construction of the highway Banja Luka- Mrkonjić Grad- Mlinište-borders with the FBiH have an interest from the Chinese Company ‘Sinohidro’.

‘’This company has submitted documents and a feasibility study, and at the start of September we will organize a meeting with them’’, said Topić.
